End of Summer Fun 2010
Wow! It has been a busy summer! We are preparing for back-to-school next week and I thought I would share a few of the moments captured from August.
Our church moved into a new building this month and the church family read the entire bible from the new pulpit from Genesis to Revelation the week before the first service. Here is Nicholas reading from the book of Romans. It was a very sweet moment for our family to go up and read the bible together - our God is an amazing God!

We joined some friends at the local safari in Gentry, AR one day. It is really neat how you can pet so many animals! I am not particularly fond of the snake but the kids really wanted to hold it. They also got to play with monkeys and pet a lion cub.
This mama kangaroo had a baby in her pouch. The lady told us that a baby kangaroo is no bigger than our thumbnail when it is born.
Nathan started Mother's Day Out this week so here is his first day of "school". It was fun having the big kids for the day!
And of course our summer would not be complete without spills. Nicholas scraped his chin in the pool when he was diving...thankfully he was not hurt bad! I hope we learned a lesson about obeying the rules, the "no diving" signs are posted for a reason!!! And Nathan cracked his chin open when Katie tripped while carrying him...
I am afraid he will probably have a scar for life from this one!
This past week we have been preparing for Providence Academy where Nicholas and Katie will attend 3rd grade and Kindergarten. Tim was laughing the other day and saying that school really started this week with all of the Providence commitments. We are so thrilled to get the opportunity to put our children in PCCA again this year. It is such a loving family and their goal is to raise Christian leaders.
Whew! It was a fun summer but really busy...and we still have more to come! Nana is coming into town this weekend and our friends from Minnesota, the Carson's, are coming next weekend.
