3 days to go...

The time is here!  We have been waiting to go overseas for so long and it feels surreal that the time is finally here.  We have snow here in NW Arkansas and there was no school yesterday, which was supposed to be Nicholas and Katie's last day.  They were very sad, and so was I, that they did not get to go and say their goodbyes.  I have to trust that God has the perfect plan and He sent the snow for a special reason.

So, instead of school and our going away party, we spent the day packing and packing and packing.  It was easy at first and then became much more difficult as we got down to the last 2 footlockers.  I thought we had downsized so much but...there is still more to get rid of!  We are moving to our friends house tonight so we can clean up the mission house and spend some sweet time in fellowship.  The big kids are getting to have a sleepover and are both very excited...just a little concerned for the sweet momma that volunteered to take both at the same time :-)!

Sunday will be a day filled with goodbyes, so I am sure I will be a blubbering mess!  We love our church family so much and will miss them dearly but God is showing me that He had us here so that we could be discipled and now He wants us to go out to disciple and serve others.  Thank you FBCR for teaching us truth and shepherding our family...our family has been forever changed through your encouragement!

We leave bright and early Monday morning to go to Virginia.  We will spend the next 8 weeks in training. Please be in prayer for our family as we travel and ask the Lord to give us clear understanding of what we need to learn and retain during our training ( my mind does not work all that great some days!).  Please pray for our children that they will be able to have peace and joy during our time of transition.

I am not sure how much time I will have to post in the coming days or weeks but I will update as often as possible!
