Thanksgiving and Praise!
"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good: His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:4-5
Oh we have much to be thankful for! The Lord has provided not one doctors appointment but three on the same day, April 16th!!!! Over the past week and a half, we have seen mountains move, so we are absolutely sure that we are supposed to return home.
We admit we have some anxiousness in thinking about the days ahead, mostly because we have no idea what happens next. We are trusting that God is saying to take one day at a time and wait for Him. We have much sadness that we are being called home but on the other hand much excitement about how He is going to provide for our family.
This past year has been an amazing journey with many stories of joy, blessing and heartbreak. The Lord has shown us how to love others in a whole new way. He has opened our eyes to the downtrodden and outcast. He has revealed to us where our hearts need to break and what is true necessity. He has shown us that He is the one who can break down language and cultural barriers that appear to be impossible. He has shown us over and over His glory and goodness.
We are so very thankful for each and every one of you. We thank the Father for bringing you into our lives and for your intercession on our behalf. We firmly believe that the Lord is going to reveal Himself in a mighty way and show His glory in the coming days.
Would you please continue to pray for our family as follows:
1. Travel - Adrienne, Nathan and Katherine will depart Nairobi on April 12th - arriving in Houston April 13th
2. Provision of seats and timing for Tim and Nicholas to depart on April 13th - Nicholas is one of the main characters in the school play the night of the 13th and we felt it was necessary for him to complete his commitment. There are no seats on the 14th so in order to make the appointments they need to leave on the 13th. The timing is very tight as the play will end around 8 p.m., the flight is scheduled for 11:40 p.m. and it takes at least an hour to get to the airport.
3. Nicholas and Katherine - they are very sad to be leaving Kenya, please pray for them as they say their goodbyes. They are extremely anxious about Nathan's appointments and the not knowing what is coming in the months ahead.
4. Our appointments on April 16th - pray Nathan will have a calm and sweet spirit as he is poked and prodded. Pray for the doctors, that the Lord will reveal to them a firm diagnosis and treatment plan. Pray for Tim and Adrienne to understand all that is said and that jet-lag will not interfere with our understanding.
5. Tim's job search - wisdom to go where the Lord calls our family.
Many blessings,
Tim, Adrienne, Nicholas, Katherine and Nathan
Praying for you all!!! Sad to miss you in Nairobi, but I am glad that God has provided these appointments on the same day and so soon!!!! Praise Him!!! Love to each of you, Alyssa
