Merry Christmas 2012!
Merry Christmas! We hope and pray that you and your family are enjoying the season and preparing for the birthday of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
"This is Christmas" by Kutless has been a wonderful reminder to me this year about the reason for Christmas. The chorus goes...
What is Christmas,
If there never was a Savior,
Wrapped in a manger?
What is Christmas,
Without Christ?
I love the reminder of this song, that Christmas is not about baubles and pretty presents, a beautifully decorated house, a full schedule of parties and extreme sale days at retailers. Christmas is the simplicity and beauty of God loving the humans whom He created so much that he came to earth in the form of a helpless baby. He became our perfect sacrifice, he took on the sin of the world...that is something that is so difficult to wrap my mind around! However, I have faith, and praise God that Jesus is the Savior of the entire world, no matter what we look like, where we live or how "bad" we have been.
We pray that each of you reading this blog will come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!
A quick update on Nathan: we completed all of the recommended testing in Houston this summer and everything came back normal. As a family, we decided to stop searching and just be content with the Lord's plan for Nathan's life. He continues to be small but his belly seems to be better most days.
Since it has been a while since the last update, here are some pictures from the last half of 2012, hope you enjoy...
