Fantastic Week and Clinic 2...

Wow! What a jam packed week filled with great information. I am sitting in my room having just finished my ESL training, I got a certificate and everything! :-) However, I still question my qualifications to teach someone else English.

We started the week with some anthropology and learning how others interpret what you say and do...very interesting, as I can expect to make many mistakes in this area. Then we spent time discussing different worldviews...once again, I will have a steep learning curve!

Later in the week we had a speaker on the persecution of the church, which was extremely moving. We take our faith for granted in this country but thousands, maybe millions are suffering around the world today for simply saying they are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is quite humbling when I think that I was often afraid to walk across the street and speak to my neighbor about my faith. What would I do for Jesus if I had no fear? What is Jesus worth to me?

Yesterday we had our second clinic. It was not as easy as the first one! I think they let us get comfortable last time so they could stick us hard this time (pun intended!) All together our family took 18 shots and 3 oral vaccines, not sure what we will get next time. Our bandages are lined up neatly along the trash can because Katie has a school project to let her class know how many of each kind of bandage our family had. A sample is included below, sorry for the gross factor!

Next week we need prayer as it will be a very stressful week. We love and miss y'all!
