I know I should be reading but...

I can honestly say "I am tired!" It seems like we have been here a lot longer than 11 days but I am NOT whining or complaining...that is not allowed. We are enjoying our time here but it has been described by some as trying to take a drink out of a fire hose.

There is a lot of great information to absorb and they are doing a great job of teaching New Testament church. We also are learning a lot about the African culture. All of us start our day with breakfast at 7 a.m. and we pick up the kids from school around 3 p.m. Then either Tim or I head to another meeting/training session until 5 p.m. After dinner there is usually another meeting for one of us to attend.

We have been asked about family time. One person asked if we had ever spent this much time together and I just laughed because it really feels like we have zero family time. Tim and I are in class all day together but we never have time to discuss the things we have just learned...it is really weird!

The kids are loving their school and have made some great friends. Nicholas is regularly hanging out with the big kids, whether it is at dinner or going to play soccer in the evenings. I think he is enjoying the freedom. Katie is doing very well and seems to be adjusting very well. Nathan does not like going to class everyday but he is okay once he gets there. It is really hard to be away from him all the time!

Nathan has made quite an impression on campus, especially with all the young ladies! Everyone knows who he is, he is such a comedian!

Anyway, I had better keep this short and get back to my homework! Much love to you all.

  1. I am so glad to "hear" from you all. It sounds as though everything is going smoothly for all five of you, and I couldn't be happier about that. We sure miss seeing you all here, but know that you are doing what God has planned for you. Take care, give everyone a hug from us, and keep us updated!
