Prayer for December 30th Ministry Day in Gachie
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18)
On December 30th, we will be hosting a ministry day at Gachie West (the church where the preschool meets). Our friends, the Maiers, will be joining us from Arkansas as we share the gospel with the families from the preschool. We ask that you join us in lifting up this event to the Father. So beginning on December 24th please pray with us:
Dec. 24th - Praise the Lord for His disciples provision.
During this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.) 29 The disciples, each according to his ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea. (Acts 11:27-29)
* Brothers and sisters have given generously so that we may host this ministry day and serve a meal. Many in this community are destitute, the children and families of the preschool are the poorest of the poor, providing a meal to meet their physical need will help us be the hands and feet of the Lord Jesus.
Dec. 25th - Praise that the Lord has provided workers.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. (Matt 9:38)
*We have prayed for workers to join us and the Lord has answered our prayers. We have friends from Arkansas coming to work and Gachie West Baptist has come together to work on this day.
Dec. 26th - Pray that the Lord will open the hearts in the community of Gachie to hear and respond to His message.
One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message. (Acts 16:14)
Dec 27th - Pray for Vincent, Mama Moraa and the Mokaya family. Praise that they are obedient and bold in sharing the Word. Praise that they have hearts for the children in the community. Pray for their protection from the evil one.
Pray for the Maier family as they travel from Dubai to Nairobi today, and as Mark prepares his message.
Pray for our family as we bridge our home church with our Kenyan friends and culture.
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:11-17)
Dec 28th - Pray for the Gachie West Fellowship. That they will keep their eyes focused on the Lord and will not be swayed by temptations.
For the LORD your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you. (Deut 23:14)
Dec 29th - Pray for the leaders in the community. Pray that the Lord will remove corruption in the government offices. Pray that the leaders of the community will be saved, and that they will make Gachie a safe place to live and work.
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim 2:1-4)
Dec 30th - Pray for those sharing the message today. Pray that the Lord will use His servants to speak the Truth. Pray that the message will be heard, received, and many will be brought into His kingdom today.
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call." 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. (Acts 2:38-41)
Thank you for praying and supporting us.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5
